Swing Check Valve
Category: Brass & Bronze Valve
Overview
Swing check valves prevent backflow by means of a hinged disc that swings open under forward flow pressure and closes by gravity and reverse pressure. The full-bore swing disc in the open position offers very low pressure drop, making swing checks more suitable than lift checks for low-velocity and pulsating flow applications. Suitable for horizontal and vertical-upward installation in water supply, drainage, compressed air, and general process lines.
