Spring Check Valve
Category: Brass & Bronze Valve
Overview
Spring-loaded check valves use a stainless steel spring to hold a poppet or disc against the seat, opening only when upstream pressure exceeds the spring cracking pressure. Unlike swing checks that rely on gravity, spring checks operate in any orientation — horizontal, vertical up, vertical down, and inclined — giving designers full flexibility in piping layout. The spring pre-load also provides faster closure with less disc travel, reducing water hammer compared to gravity-close swing checks.
