Overview
Rotary lobe pumps transfer fluid using two counter-rotating lobes that sweep fluid around the pump casing without the lobes contacting each other. The non-contacting rotors and gentle pumping action preserve particle integrity and minimize shear stress, making lobe pumps the standard choice for food-grade, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic fluid transfer. CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (sterilize-in-place) compatible designs eliminate disassembly for routine cleaning.
